Pregnant women and people on lower incomes need more help to stop smoking according to the latest figures from Public Health England and the Office for National Statistics.
Smoking rates for pregnant women have stuck at 11 per cent for the past three years and a new measure has been added that finds people on lower incomes are more likely to smoke.
ONS and PHE smoking figures for 2017 published on Tuesday found one in four routine and manual workers are smokers compared to one in ten in professional and managerial jobs.
