Consultancy Service for
Preparation of WASH Plan

Karnali Integrated Rural Development and Research Centre (KIRDARC) Nepal has been implementing the project titled SuWASH funded by HSBC  in technical support from Water Aid Nepal in Palata RM Kalikot and Hima Rm of  Jumla district. The project is being implemented since last 2 and half years in those Palikas. The overall goal of the project is to provide safe water, sanitation and hygiene to the marginalized community people as well as to aware on their WASH rights. KIRDARC has planned to assign the role of-Co-Team Leader of the project externally thus, Its coordination Office (Sanepa, Lalitpur) invites a sealed Quotation from interested service Providers (Consultancy Service). The overall objective of the assignment is to take a co-lead role to develop the WASH Plan as expected by the project documents aligning with the overall DWSSM TOR and its compliances. 

Qualified individual consultants/firms hereby are requested to submit a brief proposal highlighting the topic of proposal and expected fees as well. Consultants/ Firms are requested to submit both sealed technical and financial proposals with describing the methodology and approach of consultancy service along with your CVs/ organizational profile and organization Registration Documents in detail within 6th November 2019 to the address below. Competitive Proposal will be selected for further process. The role of Co-team leader is expected to fulfill the requirement delegated from the team leader. She/he must be WASH expert with highly experience onWASH along with DRR/CCA and cross sector.

Sanitation and Hygiene Expert-CARE Nepal (Based on Kathmandu)
Key responsibilities: 
The Sanitation and Hygiene Specialist is responsible for supporting design and implementation of hygiene and health promotion activities in conjuction with Earthquake Response and Recovery program team, the Consortium members and CARE’s implementing partners. S/he works under close supervision of WASH team leader to plan, implement and monitor the delivery of hygiene and health promotion activities in the earthquake affected communities of the project districts. 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 
Master’s degree in Civil/Sanitation/Water Engineering, Public Health, Environment or other related field with at least 3 years of experience in planning and implementing community based hygiene promotion activities and social behavior change communication preferably in development sector.
